A REVISED Remote Learning Enhancement Program!
Featuring New England's most experienced faculty of ninja educators.
We've learned a lot over the last couple weeks, and most importantly we know remote schedules take a lot of work to manage for parents, children, and caregivers. Our kids are also missing out on important social engagement! Taken straight from the mouth of a 2nd grader - "PE is not fun, I don't want to go".
Action Academics promises to make remote learning FUN, while making it EASY FOR YOU!

PROGRAM DETAILS
We will supervise and support students with their remote learning curriculums; helping manage their schedules and their independent work, AND most importantly when its time for a break, they will get a healthy dose of positive physical and movement discovery and engage in exploratory STEAM activities on the obstacles!
Who is action academics for?
Any child 1st grade through 5th grade that will be learning remotely full or part-time and for any parent(s) who need additional support!
What kind of physical exercise will they get?
Any time they have a break or have finished their work, they will be out on the obstacle floor! Either challenging themselves on obstacles, engaging in games, or participating in daily athletic challenges!
What is supervised remote learning?
The remote learner at action academics will receive educational support from one of our qualified academic coaches.
Our staff will guide students through their remote learning assignments and support the curriculum provided by their teachers. This includes, but is not limited to: answering any questions, facilitating their understanding of educational materials, making sure students are checking-in for required video conference sessions, and monitoring their attention during such virtual sessions.
If they have independent remote assignments that need to be completed, this is the perfect time for our staff to provide them with the support to complete those assignments and develop a lasting understanding of their required material!
Learning is the goal! Our goal is to help students understand their material as well as (if not better than) if they were in a regular classroom.
What do students need to bring?
laptop, Chromebook or iPad
pens/pencils
writing books or paper
water bottles (we can refill them)
lunch/snack (we cannot provide any food)
assignments and/or remote learning website access
athletics clothes and sneakers
masks or face coverings
Action Athletics has a robust and highly monitored internet portal that can easily handle a large volume of devices using HD video streams, online conferences, and downloads simultaneously. No need to worry about internet connectivity with us!
All materials and belongings will need to be taken home at the end of each day.
How will staff know the remote learning plan and curriculum?
As part of registration parents or guardians will need to inform us of login credentials and remote learning requirements. In addition, we will ask that each parent or guardian share contact information of the student’s teacher, so we can work together to provide your child with the support they need!

CLOSINGS, SICK DAYS, & COVID QUESTIONS
What happens during a school holiday or a snow emergency?
We will follow specific dates based on the school calendars, while trying to accommodate holidays and schedule discrepancies for any students from surrounding districts on a case-by-case basis. If school is closed, then there will be no action academics and you will not be charged for that day.
If action academics is cancelled for a last minute closure due to a snow emergency or other danger to public health, we will credit the class in the next bill cycle.
What if a student becomes sick or has tested positive for COVID-19?
Everyone’s health and safety is our primary concern. If a student or any staff member tests positive for COVID-19, all registered participants will be immediately notified and recommended to get tested. The sick individual will be required to quarantine until they can produce a negative COVID test for return. Additionally, the facility will be cleaned and disinfected beyond our already thorough daily protocols.
What if a student is turned away for failing the health evaluation or temperature check?
Should a student fail to meet the requirements for participation prior to class, we will follow CDC guidelines to safely allow their return as soon as possible. Keep in mind, these guidelines may require as much as a 14 day symptom-free quarantine, or a negative COVID test .
What if there is another shutdown due to COVID-19?
If for any reason we have to shut down again, we will stop charging you! Any paid for an unused action academics classes will be offered as an account credit.
I have credits from the WINTER II Ninja Kids Classes, can I use them for this program?
Yes, you can use your credit toward this program! Please see our COVID Cancellation Policies.
